The Space Academy Program is the perfect way for university and engineering school students to discover satellite IoT connectivity.

In order to organize practical sessions or longer projects for the students, professors can benefit from a flexible approach starting with:

  • one development kit for 2 or 3 students
  • access to this online knowledge base for the students
  • privileged access to the connectivity for a few years, so the practical sessions can be renewed every year
  • technical support for the first hands on the development kit, before the practical sessions with the students

Anticipating on their future jobs in the tech world, the program enables a thorough discovery of satellite IoT connectivity and a deep dive into embedded systems, all the way to device prototyping. Depending on the requested learning goals, the following concepts can be addressed:

  • satellite communications
  • orbital mechanics
  • IoT communications specificities
  • network access and software implementation
  • embedded software on MCU target
  • interfaces with several components (communication module, sensors...)
  • selecting hardware components (antenna, battery...)
  • end-to-end validation
  • back-end data processing and visualization
  • identification of the potential use cases and market analysis
