Kinéis stack is a software product allowing to transform off-the-shelf RF transceivers in Kinéis transmitter modules. It consists of pre-compiled and open-source code libraries enabling the generation of Kinéis modulations from specific 400Mhz-compatible chipsets.

Thanks to the Kinéis stack, existing RF chips become compatible with the Kinéis system and the development cycle for new Kinéis connected devices is reduced. It can also enable retrofit for products already integrating the RF chip for other connectivities.

Any transmitter developed from the Kinéis stack will need to go through the transmitter certification before being integrated in a final device. After chipset and software integration into a new module or device design, Kinéis will guide you through our certification process to officially validate your product and allow its commercial release.

SmartSat program: Kinéis stack discovery program

With the release of the Kinéis stack, Kinéis launched its new discovery program: SmartSat. This new plan is a simple way to try out Kinéis stack and connectivity by using well-known RF components frequently used for IoT connectivity integration.

Kinéis offers trial connectivity and provisioning for the off-the-shelf RF chip evaluation boards in a 3-month free evaluation program. More info on the program in the section SmartSat program.

After the trial phase, you can enter a development program where Kinéis will provide support for software integration, product development, service validation and Kinéis certifications.
